Thought for Today
Wisdom found in the Holy Bible can sometimes challenge us to look deep within and confront our sense of a comfortable religion. Sometimes what we think we ought to do is just what's easiest for us and not what God really wants us to do. We all need to be aware of whether we're doing what can rationalize as "nice" versus what God says is "good".
Being the Church The church is not a building, but a body of believers with a specific nature and purpose.
Bible Studies We have watched & studied three seasons of "The Chosen" so far. Stay tuned to see what comes next!
Community We work in our Community to get God's Word Out to Everyone. We provide many community events throughout the Year.
Praise & Worship
We are the Church! We are out in our community sharing God's Word. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.Missions
OUMC provides many mission projects throughout the year in our area and beyond. Salvation Army, Homeless Shelter, Harbor House, East Elementary School-NP, Dress-a-Child, Share-a-Christmas, Heifer International, Food PantryGroup Fellowship

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! John 8:24 unless you believe that I am who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.Hope
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Jeremiah 29: 11 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.Love
1 Corinthians 13:4-5: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13: 13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Prayer
We long for wisdom, O Lord, but prefer that it be our own. We turn away from the ideas of others and ignore the possibility and promise that come from life together with you. Most of all, we drown out your gift of Wisdom as she seeks to get our attention, for we believe that we know better or would prefer to decide where we make her welcome.Forgive us, loving God.Bring an end to the self-righteousness that ignores you, and awaken us anew to the Wisdom that comes only from you. Show us how to walk in your waysand listen to your promise each and every day. Amen
